Mind-Body-Spirit
The word wellness gets thrown around a lot these days, but what does it really mean? At Soul Shine, we define wellness as a state of harmony between the mind, body and spirit. All of our practitioners work in one of the following three areas:
Mind
Being able to accept yourself, embrace your own emotions, and discover how to live a life that’s authentic to you is an important part of being well. Our practitioners who work with the mind help you learn healthy ways to adjust to change, cope with stress and enjoy life despite its occasional disappointments and frustrations.
Body
By far the kind of wellness that most of us are familiar with is physical health. Many different factors contribute to physical health—among them are proper nutrition, regular exercise, getting enough sleep. We all know we need these things, our practitioners help you get in the mindset of being well so that you’ll actually follow through.
Spirit
Spiritual health comes from the ability to balance our own personal needs with those of the outside world as well as the sense that life is meaningful and has purpose. Not having a clearly defined personal belief system—or living outside of that belief system—can have a profound influence on our emotional and physical well-being.
